Check With Family Terms of Use

Last updated: June 30, 2026

Service

Check With Family helps a senior pause suspicious money, gift card, crypto, banking, password, or verification-code requests by texting a Check With Family number. The service can alert trusted contacts and record verification history for the account owner.

Not Emergency or Financial Advice

Check With Family is not an emergency service, law-enforcement service, bank, legal advisor, or financial advisor. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. We cannot guarantee that every scam will be detected or prevented.

Consent

By setting up an account, you confirm that you have permission to add the senior and trusted contacts. Check With Family sends an SMS activation request to each added number. A number must reply YES before the live SMS service is active for that person. Message and data rates may apply. Anyone can reply STOP to request opt-out or HELP for support information.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Check With Family for spam, harassment, emergency dispatch, illegal activity, or unsolicited messaging. We may suspend accounts that create safety, security, compliance, or abuse risks.

Message Delivery

SMS delivery depends on carriers, Twilio, internet providers, and the recipient device. Delivery may be delayed, blocked, or fail. Users should still directly contact trusted family, banks, or official organizations before sending money or sharing sensitive information.

Billing and Cancellation

Paid plans, trial periods, and billing features may be handled through Stripe. If payment fails, a trial expires, or an account is cancelled, Check With Family may restrict SMS workflows until billing is resolved.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page and, when appropriate, by notifying account owners through the product or email.

Governing Law and Contact

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, unless another jurisdiction is required by applicable consumer law. For support, abuse reports, legal questions, or privacy requests, email support@checkwithfamily.com.
